The choice is yours: six degree programmes in the field of Business & Society with individual specialisation options, interdisciplinary nano-degrees and over 100 courses in Studium fundamentale await you.

With the Bachelor of Choice in Business and Society, we offer you complete freedom of choice and flexibility to customise your studies exactly to your wishes and personality. All Bachelor's degree programmes in the model are unique but interconnected. In the first orientation year of your studies, the degree programmes share many methodological foundations and theories, and you can also get a taste of all degree programmes in this Bachelor's model if you like. With the Bachelor of Choice, we offer you the opportunity to customise your studies, take a look at different disciplines and create your very own educational profile. Choose your desired degree programme
You choose your desired degree programme in the Bachelor of Choice Business & Society. You can switch between degree programmes during the orientation year, but no later than the end of the third semester. The Bachelor of Choice includes these degree programmes:
- Global Sustainability: Climate, Justice, Transformation (B. A.)
- Management (B. Sc.)
- Management & Psychologie (B. Sc.)
- PPÖ - Philosophie, Politik und Ökonomik (B. A.)
- Social Data Science (B. Sc.)
- Wirtschaft, Politik und Recht (B. A.)
Develop your full potential
Whether it's a photography course, programming basics, inclusion seminar or artificial intelligence - in Studium fundamentale, you complete around 10% of your coursework in seminars and events that address your personal interests outside of your own degree programme and contribute to your individual development.
Change possible in the orientation year
At the end of the orientation phase, you make a final decision: either you stay on your degree programme or you switch to the one that suits you better. You keep the credits you have already achieved and don't have to worry about losing time. And: even if you change degree programme, your contacts will remain thanks to the family atmosphere at our university.
This is how a change of degree programme works:
If you would like to change your subject within the Bachelor of Choice, it is best to discuss this with the relevant degree programme coordinator or seek advice from the Office of Student Affairs. You then inform us briefly in writing about your wish to change and you will be officially re-registered at the beginning of the next semester. And that's it! The credits you have earned will be automatically recognised and your semesters will be updated according to your credit points.

You decide how you want to design your degree programme and choose the specialisation that suits you from the second year onwards.
Expand your educational profile
With our nano-degrees, you can acquire additional cross-degree programme certificates and expand your educational profile with qualifications in these areas: Data Science, Psychology and Systemic Coaching, Global Cooperation/Justice, Sustainability, Management and Sustainability, Family Entrepreneurship and Law and Legal Application.

How you can finance your private study programme
There is a suitable financing model for all students. If you are concerned that your current financial situation does not allow you to study at UW/H: With the Income Share Agreement (ISA), we offer a social financing model that enables all interested parties to study at Witten/Herdecke University.
