The extra to your Bachelor's degree: score points with additional certificates

Nano-degrees in the Bachelor of Choice

Career booster: expand your career opportunities with additional certificates

When you study the unique Bachelor of Choice degree programme in Business and Society, you have maximum freedom of choice to shape your own individual educational profile: You don't just decide on your desired degree programme with individual specialisation options, which you only have to commit to after the end of an orientation year. If you like, you can supplement your Bachelor's degree during your studies with interdisciplinary educational certificates, the nano-degrees, and thus expand your career opportunities.

These are our nano-degrees

Thematic focus

Your choice from six subject areas

We offer you nano-degrees in various subject areas in the Bachelor of Choice model in Business and Society. You decide which specialisation suits you best. The modules are partly in German and partly in English.

You can obtain nano-degree certificates in the following subjects in the Bachelor of Choice programme:

  • Psychology and Systemic Coaching
  • Global Cooperation/Justice
  • Sustainability Management
  • Family Entrepreneurship
  • Law and application of law
  • Sustainability

Without extending your study period

If you have chosen a specific nano-degree, you will take certain courses from the corresponding thematic focus of your chosen additional qualification.

The nano-degrees are designed in such a way that they generally do not extend your period of study. They include a large selection of cross-programme courses, of which you can choose at least 4.

How to obtain an additional certificate

If you would like to acquire one of the valuable additional qualifications, you must be enrolled on a Bachelor's degree programme in the field of business and society and apply for a nano-degree by the 3rd semester. Specialisation with nano-degrees is only possible in subject areas that are not already included in your chosen subject.

There are both compulsory modules that you must successfully complete and elective modules from which you can choose in order to receive the certificates. In some cases, there are further requirements for taking the modules, e.g. if they build on each other thematically.

More than just a university.

Maximum freedom of choice in the Bachelor of Choice

More flexibility and freedom of choice in studying is hardly possible: with the Bachelor of Choice study model, students enrol on one of six degree programmes. The highlight: they only have to decide after a joint orientation year.

Studying without an NC? It's possible!

Good news: Good news: At UW/H, A-level grades are not at the centre of the allocation of study places. This is because our degree programmes are 100% state-recognised - and still NC-free. Because with us you are human and not a numerus.

Study first, then pay back: Our ISA

The Income Share Agreement (ISA) makes it possible: you can study with us first and pay back your tuition fees later depending on your income. Because studying should have no financial limits.
