Our on-campus catering options provide you with everything you need to recharge your batteries during the day! Start the morning with a delicious coffee, meet up with friends for lunch in the cafeteria with its wide range of dishes and treat yourself to a freshly baked cinnamon bun in Café Larix in the afternoon. When the weather is nice, you can spend your meal breaks in the idyllic university garden. Do you prefer to be in the centre of things instead of just being there? Your culinary guide to the UW/H
Where culinary delights meet community
You will find the cafeteria in the UW/H main building. Here, the cafeteria team welcomes you with open arms and takes care of the physical well-being of our university community every day. Start the day with a balanced breakfast and fortify yourself at lunchtime with a hot main course, a sandwich or a colourful salad. You can expect a large selection of freshly prepared vegetarian and vegan dishes, with meat and fish available one day a week. There is something for every taste and every preference.
As a Fairtrade University, we not only pay attention to regionality and organic quality when selecting products, but also to fair trade.
Our highlight: every Wednesday, we serve a "field dish" in the cafeteria made from freshly harvested ingredients from the university fields in the Pferdebachtal valley.
With its open seating area, the cafeteria invites people to meet and socialise. Students, lecturers, staff and external people sit together here and engage in dialogue. When the weather is fine, the numerous seating areas in the directly adjacent university garden offer the best opportunity to take a break in the greenery.

Coffee enjoyment and baking specialities
When the smell of cinnamon buns fills the air on campus, it's time for a stop at Café Larix! Café Larix in the wooden building is the place to be for your coffee break between classes. How about a flat white or a chai latte with oat milk? In addition to barista-quality coffee and tea, you can also get freshly baked sweet delicacies here every day - with a large vegan selection.
Did you know? The Kijami coffee offered at Larix is the brainchild of UW/H student Dominik Münstermann, who founded the fair coffee brand during the first semester of his medical degree.
If you need a quick fix: For a caffeine boost in between, you can take your coffee-to-go to your next seminar in a reusable Recup cup.

You will find the "hot bar" in the wooden building. Turkish specialities such as falafel sandwiches and vegetable pies from the Kuzey grill await you here. There are also changing food trucks on the campus forecourt in front of the Holzgebäude that round off our gastronomic offer.
You have weekend courses or go to the Bib to study? Emergency snacks are provided! Outside the opening hours of Café Larix and the cafeteria, snack and drink vending machines are available around the clock in the main and wooden buildings.
Belgian chocolate, peanut caramel, raspberry brownie and happy monkey - do the names of Emma the Mu's creative ice cream flavours make you melt away? Then try out our cool ice cream machine and enjoy your sundae on the campus steps.
