Project overview
For several years we have been pursuing projects on the importance of yoga as a supportive measure for people with chronic illness. Publications in connection with the respective projects can be found in the university bibliography.
What are we currently investigating?
- Yoga Nidra research project
- Development of ethical attitudes and behaviours (Yamas / Niyamas)
- Behavioural patterns of yoga practitioners in the corona pandemic
- Strategies of yoga practitioners in dealing with symptoms of COVID-19 infection
- Reverence / gratitude as well as mindfulness and compassion in yoga practitioners
- "Spiritual dryness" as an expression of a crisis of meaning on the path of development
Project in planning
- 3-arm RCT: Yoga with a focus on yamas / niyamas in stressed carers, doctors and teachers
What have we investigated so far?
- Yoga as a resource for dealing with chronic stress or illness
- Inner correspondence with the yoga exercises
- Development of indicators of spirituality through more intensive yoga practice

- Lecture series Yoga, Philosophy and Science at the UW/H (in planning)
