Two young researchers from Witten/Herdecke University meet Nobel Prize winner
Dr. Jona Stinner and Dr. Muhammad Anwar were selected to present their research at the 8th Lindau Nobel Meeting of Economic Sciences.

From 26 to 30 August 2025, around 20 Nobel Laureates and 300 junior researchers from more than 60 countries are expected to attend the 8th Lindau Nobel Meeting in Economic Sciences in the Inselhalle Lindau.
Among them: Dr Jona Stinner and Dr Muhammad Anwar, PhD students at Witten/Herdecke University (UW/H). The two scientists were able to prevail against hundreds of applicants in the selection process of the scientific review panel.
The high-calibre meeting offers participants the opportunity to exchange ideas with renowned Nobel laureates in economics and leading personalities from politics and business. Mario Draghi is also expected to contribute to the debate with his report on the future of European competitiveness at the opening discussion on "Research and Innovation in a Tripolar World".
In addition to the opening discussion, panel discussions will be dedicated to global challenges such as the stability of financial systems, climate change and the development of economic institutions in international competition. By participating in the Lindau Nobel Meeting, Dr Jona Stinner and Dr Muhammad Anwar will have the unique opportunity to discuss their academic work in an international context and gain valuable impetus for their further research on the topics of digital innovation and trust building (Dr Jona Stinner) and sustainable transformation of small and medium-sized family businesses (Dr Muhammad Anwar).
