StudyCheck Award 2025: Witten/Herdecke University is one of the most popular universities in Germany

Witten/Herdecke University (UW/H) is the most popular university in North Rhine-Westphalia and is also one of the three most popular universities in Germany - as shown by the new ranking results of the online portal StudyCheck. Here, the UW/H achieved a score of 8.9/10 and a recommendation rate of 98 per cent. For this result, it received the "TOP University in Germany" seal of approval, an honour only awarded to ten universities nationwide.

Start of studies in summer semester 2025: Prospective students can currently apply for the Bachelor's degree programmes in Business and Society and for the Master's degree programme in Ethics & Organisation until 15.02.25.

More than 83,000 student evaluations from the last calendar year were analysed for the StudyCheck Award 2025. Of these, 315 reviews came from students in Witten. On the portal, they can rate their place of study and their respective degree programme and share their experiences. This gives prospective students a varied first impression of the programmes, teaching and university life.
