Side effects of mindfulness
Project overview
Mindfulness-based methods have proven to be effective treatment options for a variety of mental disorders. However, like all effective treatments, they can also be associated with side effects.
In the current project, we compare the rates of clinically significant deterioration in chronic depressive patients treated with Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) with those treated with Cognitive Behavioural Analysis System of Psychotherapy (CBASP) in an Individual Patient Data Meta-analysis. This makes it possible to compare the side effect rates of these different methods.
