PRISCUS 2.0
Project overview
In 2010, the BMBF-funded PRISCUS research consortia (Priscus = old, venerable) presented a list of medications that may be unsuitable for older people and provides corresponding therapy recommendations (PRISCUS list). The PRISCUS list is now widely used in practice as well as in pharmacies and nursing homes and is used for pharmacoepidemiological research projects. Due to relevant changes in the German pharmaceutical market and further analyses of side effects of various drugs, the PRISCUS list is being updated and expanded in the PRISCUS 2.0 project.
In the meantime, relevant changes have occurred on the German pharmaceutical market. In addition, further analyses of the side effect profiles of various drugs have been published. The PRISCUS list is therefore being updated and expanded in the Priscus 2.0 project.
