Open Science awards for students
From the winter semester 2024/25, the School of Psychology and Psychotherapy Open Science Awards for students who have completed their Bachelor's/Master's theses using Open Science practices. This includes, for example, pre-registering a research project and publishing data sets, syntaxes and materials.
The award recognises theses that incorporate open science practices and go beyond the minimum requirements for theses.
Interested applicants are invited to comment on the following questions:
- Which of the Open Science practices (preregistration, open data, open material, open code) were considered in the thesis or why could certain practices not be considered? Please also let us know where we can find your preregistration, open data, etc. (e.g. mention of view-only links to a private project on the Open Science Framework (OSF)).
- Personal reflection: What has been learnt through the use of Open Science practices and how has it changed scientific thinking and work?
To apply for the award, please send the one-page statement including the above links as evidence along with a certificate of completion to the following email address: open.science@uni-wh.de. We are also available to answer any questions students may have at this e-mail address.
The next deadline for applications for the Open Science Award is 1 April 2025. Students who have successfully completed their Bachelor's or Master's thesis in the summer semester 2024 or winter semester 2024/25 are cordially invited to apply. Applications are only possible once.
