Evaluation of the Primary Care Clinic for Integrative Health Care and Naturopathy
Project overview
The Primary Care Clinic for Integrative Health Care and Naturopathy at UW/H is evaluated according to a model called the "Triple Aim Approach". This approach has three main goals:
- Improve health: To promote the health of the patient:inside.
- Improve care: The quality of medical care should be increased.
- Work efficiently: These goals should be achieved with a sensible use of financial resources.
Three projects are underway in connection with this evaluation:
- BERN courses: These eight-week courses are designed to improve the quality of life of patients:inside and help them to cope better with stress.
- Patient satisfaction: This examines how satisfied patients are with the organisation of the practice, their trust in doctors and their involvement in decision-making.
- Health care economics results: This examines whether outpatient clinic care saves money, for example through fewer hospitalisations, doctor visits and medication prescriptions.
In future, there are plans to expand the approach to also take into account the satisfaction of ambulance staff with their workplace and working conditions. This will then be referred to as the "quadruple aim approach".
