Empathy and dealing with emotions
Development and testing of a situational judgement test for formative use in medical studies
Project overview
The PhD thesis by Dipl.-Päd. Tanja Graupe (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität zu München) deals with the question of how a Situational Judgement Test can test medical students' professional handling of emotions and to what extent this examiner format correlates with empathic behaviour. In three consecutive studies, a computer-based situational judgement test was developed based on theory, tested with medical students at LMU Munich and validated with other examination formats.
