The Early Help Network, the Child Protection Network and the Quality Circle for Health Services and Child and Youth Welfare are organising the symposium "Growing up healthy in digital times - from early childhood to adolescence" on Wednesday, 19 March 2025, from 14:00 to 18:00 for professionals and multipliers from the health care system, child and youth welfare facilities, school and extracurricular child and youth work, the judiciary and related fields of work. It takes place in Castrop-Rauxel town hall.

Digital media have long been an integral part of the lives of children and young people. It is therefore important to understand and actively support young people's media use and communication so that they can grow up safely and healthily. The symposium provides an overview of current developments, risks and opportunities, presents practical approaches to active media use and aims to promote networking and the exchange of experiences.

In lectures and in-depth workshops, experienced speakers will talk about a wide range of topics from cyberbullying and early childhood language education to the criminalisation of sexual violence on the Internet.
