The Chair of Research Methodology and Statistics in Psychology represents the statistical and methodological foundations relevant to psychology in research and teaching at the School of Psychology and Psychotherapy at Witten/Herdecke University.

Concrete research specialisations of the chair are:

• Evaluation of creative therapeutic procedures (artistic therapies) Health care economics aspects of health care research
• Mathematical modelling of disease processes (stochastic process models)
• Statistical methods for the detection of regression-to-the-centre and placebo effects
