Researcher

Research
My research areas include questions of monetary theory, the political economy of money, debt and the financial system, monetary policy, the shadow banking system and offshore finance as well as sustainable finance. My analytical framework is based on theories of post-Keynesian economics, critical macro-finance, neo-Marxist political economy and post-structuralism.
In my current work for the research project “SuFi: Climate change and global finance at the crossroads”, I am investigating the role of private financial actors in financing the sustainable transformation towards a climate-friendly economy (net-zero CO2 emissions).
