Annette Strauch-Davey informs, advises and supports scientists at Witten/Herdecke University in research data management (RDM).

Annette Strauch-Davey is a cultural studies and English scholar at the Georg August University in Göttingen.
After completing her studies, she lived and worked for many years in Cardiff and Aberystwyth (Cymru/Wales, Great Britain).
She has been involved in research data management and digital long-term archiving for around 15 years (bwFLA project, University of Ulm).
She worked for several years for the Collaborative Research Centre 1187 (INF project) at the Centre for Information and Media Technology (ZIMT) at the University of Siegen, where she came into contact with the different requirements of the specialist disciplines.
She was the contact person for RDM at Hildesheim University Library for five years.
She was a member of the VDB's Commission for Research-related Services for four years, where she dealt with open science and the trustworthy handling of data of all types and formats.
At the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) in Hamburg, one of the world's leading centres for research with photons, in particle and astroparticle physics and in accelerator physics, her tasks until the end of October 2024 were to collect, develop, document and coordinate requirements for complex technical data management issues and to support sections, consortia and review committees in the NFDI in the various phases of basic service development.
