Computational Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy Network (ccpp.network)

Project overview

The gap between the demand for formal modelling in the psychological disciplines (e.g. Fried, 2020; Fried & Robinaugh, 2020; Guest & Martin, 2021; Haslbeck et al, 2021; Robinaugh et al, 2021; Roefs et al, 2022; Vallacher et al, 2015) and currently published formal models is large. In particular, formal models of the psychological mechanisms underlying the development, maintenance, and maintenance and treatment of mental disorders are scarce.

The overarching goal of our collaborative scientific network is to push the boundaries of research in clinical psychology and psychotherapy by using theory-driven computational approaches such as agent-based modelling. Our interdisciplinary research network combines expertise in formal modelling and empirically informed simulation, computational modelling, statistical modelling, personality psychology, interpersonal theory, experimental psychopathology, cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy and systemic therapy.
