Ai.vatar - the virtual intelligent assistant
Project overview
Ai.vatar stands for the development of an intelligent, human-like avatar for universal and cost-effective use in a virtual environment. Ai.vatar is the product of voice-controlled bot systems and animated, interactive digital human models.
With the help of head-mounted displays, Ai.vatar can interact with people in virtual environments with the aim of creating an empathetic and congruent basis for interaction. With Ai.vatar, people can find their virtual contact for specific fields of application. The result of embedding the Ai.vatar in a virtual environment in conjunction with responsive interaction options is that physical and digital worlds no longer face each other, but interact with each other.
Within this framework, the research project is dedicated to the question of plausible and constructive human-machine interaction. The socio- and psychologically based research approach uses qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate the minimum requirement for the visual and physical presence of the virtual agent, as well as the perception of artificially intelligently generated dialogue flows in interactive contexts.
